How does Aqualyx work?

Aqualyx target fat cells that are in the soft tissue areas of the body which are particularly difficult to break down. The injections are a safe and effective way of melting fat cells by injecting a substance that dissolves them into liquid, after which the body removes them naturally through the lymphatic system.

Which areas of the body can Aqualyx treat?

We can treat areas all over the body, and common areas we treat include double chins, neck fat, waists, hips, upper arms, armpits, knees, shackles, buttocks, chest and the inner thighs. We can also use Aqualyx™ to treat pseudo-gynecomastia and buffalo humps.

What will happen during treatment?

Our medical experts will take a thorough history to discuss your needs and create a bespoke plan personalised to you. We usually give two injections per spot, and add local anaesthetic to the solution to reduce any discomfort.

Are there any side effects?

The treatment is relatively painless, with a warm sensation in the treated area; some patients experience swelling, itching, redness or a burning sensation but these settle within 1-3 days of treatment.
