What is Lip Enhancement?

Lip Enhancement, also known as Lip Filler, Lip Augmentation or Lip Injections, involves injecting a gel containing Hyaluronic Acid, a naturally occurring substance found in the body, to enhance the lip features and add volume without the need for surgery.

What should I expect from my treatment?

You will initially have a one-to-one discussion with one of our expert doctors to determine the desired look you want to achieve from Lip Enhancement using dermal fillers. Treatment usually takes 30-45 minutes. Lip Enhancement is not permanent and can last up to 6-12 months.

There is no downtime associated with lip filler treatment, though you may experience swelling and bruising. This will relax after a couple of days.

FAQs about Lip Enhacement

As with all treatments it is expected that you will experience some slight discomfort throughout the procedure.

For anti-wrinkle injections, we use very very small insulin needles and most patients do not even feel them!
For fillers, we use strong numbing cream and premium fillers contain numbing agents that reduce the discomfort.
Our expert doctors use advanced techniques to minimise the chance of swelling or bruising after the treatment.

All injectable procedures carry some risks, but your doctor will discuss these thoroughly at the time of consultation

None of our treatments are permanent, and after their effects have worn off the areas treated can be “topped up” with further treatments.

Anti-wrinkle injections can last up to 6 months but this can depend on a number of factors, including the areas and amount injected, previous use, age and other factors
Dermal fillers can last up to 12 months, but again this can depend on a number of factors, including those mentioned above.
If treatment is maintained regularly, you will notice that the effects begin to last longer as your body gets used to it and doesn’t break it down as quickly
As all individuals are different, make sure you discuss any questions you have at the consultation with your doctor

Our doctors will remind you of the aftercare advice at appointments. Things to avoid after treatment include:

Wearing makeup for 12 hours after having any injections
Exposure to extreme temperatures until redness and swelling subsides – no saunas, steam rooms, sunbeds or sun exposure
Strenuous exercise for 24 hours after treatment
Alcohol for 24 hours minimum after treatment
Massage or manipulation of the treated area

Anti-wrinkle injections can take up to two weeks to notice results
Injections for sweating can give results from 1-8 weeks, taking full effect from 8 weeks
Masseter and bruxism treatment can take 2-4 weeks to notice results
Dermal filler treatments show immediate results that continue to improve over the next 2-4 weeks
